A 180sqm restaurant featuring typical Chiado vaulted interiors was transformed into a contemporary Tasca, a traditional Portuguese dining space. Tasca serves home-style food, where customers can dine at counters or tables without formalities. This project aimed to uphold the communal spirit of tascas, where conversation and sharing food, such as petiscos or simple dishes made from various ingredients, create a warm and inviting atmosphere for patrons.
The project involved transforming a 180sqm restaurant featuring a Chiado vaulted interior into a contemporary Tasca, a traditional Portuguese eatery, emphasizing community and sharing.
This redesign maintains the essence of the Tasca culture, where patrons enjoy simple, home-style food served in a casual setting, often shared among friends.
