Keeping track of time is a purely human construct that was first invented based on the movement of heavenly bodies.We have since then refined our clocks, of course, but they all still use the Earth as the frame of reference.That won't do us much good when we start living on other planets, but thankfully we're just at the cusp of our stellar colonization ambitions.
