Makries Mires Residence / Anastasiou Misseri
Briefly

Located in a new residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Nicosia, the house is designed on a narrow rectangular plot. The architects chose a table-like structure that maximizes garden space, complemented by a protective concrete canopy. A notable feature is the grand 4-meter canopy supported by a cylindrical column, providing a distinct outdoor area. Internally, the house features two distinct zones for bedrooms and living areas, with a long exposed concrete wall enhancing both aesthetics and privacy.
The house is organized under a table-like structure maximizing garden space while a concrete canopy shelters openings, creating perimetric exterior space.
A 4-metre projecting canopy enhances the exterior with a grand, covered veranda supported by a singular cylindrical column.
The house is divided into two zones: west for bedrooms with summer breezes and east for living areas with expansive landscape views.
An exposed concrete wall serves a dual purpose of sculptural beauty and privacy, connecting the home's two zones only through limited openings.
