Lishui Airport, designed by MAD Architects, integrates seamlessly into its 'forest city' environment, featuring a fluid, feather-like roof and innovative terraced layouts.
The terminal, spanning 12,000 square meters, embodies lightness with its aluminum panels and umbrella-shaped columns, providing a naturally illuminated concourse that welcomes travelers.
As a part of its design philosophy, MAD Architects created spaces that transition from intimate heights of 4.5 meters to 13 meters, enhancing passenger experience.
Lishui Airport, scheduled to open in 2024, aims to accommodate up to five million passengers, while maintaining a close connection with its natural surroundings.
