Lamat House / Objekt Architecten
Briefly

The renovation of the detached house in Wichelen maintains its classic exterior while introducing a spacious and contemporary interior with a double-height living space and mezzanine.
The most radical changes occur inside, including the removal of the living space ceiling to create a double-height area with a disk-shaped mezzanine crafted from cast concrete.
A large planter featuring tropical plants separates the kitchen and living areas, while different flooring materials delineate both spaces visually in this open-concept layout.
This project challenges the perception of the classic facade, revealing a surprisingly modern and airy interior that emphasizes a connection with the surrounding landscape.
