House MM / Gruppo Lordi Arquitectura
"Located in Lujan, Buenos Aires province, the house reflects the philosophy of the studio, based on the use of materials in their pure state."
"Brick, concrete, steel, and glass intertwine with natural light, forming textures and contrasts of shadows, fullness, and emptiness."
Located in Luján, Buenos Aires province, the house privileges materials in their pure state as the basis of its design. Brick, exposed concrete, steel and glass serve as primary structural and aesthetic elements. Natural light is used strategically to modulate interiors and reveal material textures. Surfaces and openings create contrasts between shadow and illumination, solid mass and empty space. Spatial sequencing alternates enclosed and open areas, allowing material honesty to define both form and atmosphere. The project emphasizes tactile and visual contrasts produced by the direct interplay of materials and light.
