glass blown stereotomy shapes tomoko sauvage and AAU anastas' sound installation
Briefly

Merging local tradition with global experimentation, the Serpentine Bell installation emphasizes the significance of Palestinian materials and craftsmanship through innovative design and sensory experiences.
The installation extends the architects' ongoing research into the potentiality and metaphorical significance of structural stone, represented by the weight-bearing glass that mimics stone’s traditional role.
Sauvage elevates the sensory experience by introducing water into glass bowls, creating sounds that reflect the organic forms in nature, enhancing the installation’s immersive qualities.
Crafted from 103 glass modules, the Serpentine Bell embodies the principles of stereotomy, showcasing the structural integrity of glass and highlighting Palestine's rich heritage of craftsmanship.
