The Fondation Cartier for Contemporary Art, with its proposed new site near the Louvre, is poised to significantly enhance Paris's contemporary art landscape, scheduled to open in late 2025.
Jean Nouvel’s architectural plan includes innovative features such as five mobile platforms, which allow for adaptable exhibition layouts, achieving a height of up to 13 meters for immersive experiences.
"The Fondation Cartier will likely be the institution offering the greatest differentiation of its spaces, the most diverse exhibition forms and viewpoints," says Nouvel, indicating a departure from traditional exhibition methods.
In celebration of the Fondation Cartier's 40th anniversary, artistic portraits will be showcased across the gallery's windows, indicating a strong connection to the artists featured in the collection.
