AquaPraça, conceived by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and Höweler + Yoon, is a floating cultural plaza proposed for COP30 in Brazil. This innovative public space spans over 400 square meters and utilizes responsive technologies to adapt to shifting water levels, embodying a new relationship between architecture and nature. With features that allow for real-time buoyancy adjustments, AquaPraça aims to provide vivid perspectives on climate challenges. It will host various activities at COP30 and remain as long-term infrastructure in the Amazon, enhancing ongoing discourse on global climate issues.
