Asahi no Mori Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Clinic / TSC Architects
Briefly

The design emphasizes a warm, inviting atmosphere using wood, distinguishing the regional medical center from typical commercial architecture, creating a comforting space for patients.
Connecting the three buildings with a 'sunoko' design fosters a seamless interaction between the internal medicine, orthopedics, and pharmacy, enhancing the patient experience.
Utilizing facade rattan for the sunoko walls improves airflow and durability, while also allowing for a bright environment supported by natural light.
The rafter-exposed ceiling and large openings promote a sense of transparency, guiding visitors’ eyes towards nature outside and immersing them in a tranquil setting.
