Photographer Vale Verrico, who dropped out of university to pursue photography, created a shoot inspired by the love story of Blade Runner. With models Jamilya Bekturganov and Eddie Sun, the project incorporates dark, punk aesthetics and AI-generated elements in the editing process. This approach reflects the contemporary relevance of love and identity amidst a technologically enhanced reality. Verdant themes stemming from the film's exploration of humanity's relationship with artificial beings are woven into the creative execution, showcasing a critical dialogue relevant to today's society.
This shoot draws inspiration from the love story in Blade Runner: the hunter falling for a replica, despite the inherent danger.
To bring this vision to life, I experimented with incorporating AI-generated elements into the editing process, blurring the lines between the real and the synthetic.
