Alpenglow Community Park in Bend, Oregon, spans 37 acres and is inspired by the landscape's natural beauty. It includes an event pavilion, picnic/restroom shelter, and a pedestrian bridge, each utilizing materials like weathering steel and Ponderosa Pine to reflect the area's volcanic peaks and basalt formations. The angular designs of the structures echo the silhouettes of the Cascade Mountains, providing shade and shelter while incorporating off-the-grid energy solutions. The park aims to create a long-term community space that integrates architectural functionality with the natural environment.
