A Whistler Vacation Retreat That Redefines Nordic Living
Briefly

The Cypress retreat, designed for three generations of a family, balances communal areas and private spaces, ensuring togetherness and personal independence, as articulated by architect Cedric Burgers.
"Each generation had its own priorities, from playful spaces for children to serene retreats for grandparents," Burgers explains, highlighting how the design caters to diverse family needs.
With a modular approach, the home accommodates changing family dynamics, featuring six bedrooms, including four primary suites and two children's bunk rooms for gatherings of up to 16.
Locally sourced materials like basalt and hemlock are used to create an aesthetic that blends with Whistler's landscape, emphasizing clean lines and a natural connection to the outdoors.
