Despite the functionality of AT&T Stadium as a top-tier venue, Arlington's aspirations to host another Super Bowl remain challenging. Mayor Jim Ross expressed the desire to reclaim the prestigious game, acknowledging the competitive landscape where many cities vie for hosting rights. Future NFL decisions are influenced not only by venue availability but also by scheduling demands related to the league’s expansion plans. The league has set Super Bowl sites through 2028, leaving uncertainty for potential future events in Arlington and similar cities.
A holdup currently is not just the availability of the venues, and the cooperation of the city. Every city in North America wants to host a Super Bowl.
Do we want the Super Bowl back? Hell yeah we want it back," Arlington mayor Jim Ross told the Star-Telegram on Jan. 29 at the unveiling of the new UFL headquarters.
