When I look in the mirror/ Tell me what do I see?/ Think I see a figure/ Standing right behind me. It just came out; I hadn't come with anything prepared. And it was like we just found our genre right there. Post-punky, a little bit Goth, a little bit new wave, a little bit surf rock.
It was hard to find, sometimes, someone to come up and really engage you, to work their butt off to put on a show for you and make you dance like you can't help yourself. That's what we wanted to provide.
The result of a year of writing and recording was 'Between the Teeth,' an October 2023 EP that's tinged with as many sun-kissed melodies as gnarly moshable moments. It's a fusion of styles.
The group was just as quick to identify its place in a DIY scene then defined by shoegazers, curating shows that required full-body movement.
