Skrillex has surprise-released a new EP called Hit Me Where It Hurts X. The five-song project includes collaborations with Caroline Polachek and 100 gecs' Dylan Brady (on the recently shared title song), Varg2™, Nakeesha, and others. Listen to Hit Me Where It Hurts X below. The Hit Me Where It Hurts X EP follows Skrillex's April studio album, F*ck U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol but Ur Not!! <3.

These tracks were performed by the group's core duo of Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson, with engineering by co-producer Brad Wood at Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, Washington, and at Sea Grass in Los Angeles earlier this year. Per Sub Pop's press release, these are the first official Sunn O))) recordings to feature "only the original core duo on heavily saturated electric guitars and synthesis."

The treatment cycle was relentless and he spent most of the time bedridden, so while he slept I wrote this song for him. It's been challenging to find the space to be creative since cancer came into our lives, but I knew this song would make Winston smile and that was motivation enough. Collaborating with Pearson Sound made this track exciting too because listening to his music has always been a serotonin rush.
