Brooke Candy is ready for the pendulum to swing back toward the freaks
Briefly

In the video for "Genesis" by experimental pop artist Grimes, Candy struck an intriguing figure. In an outfit somewhere between a suit of armor and a designer swimsuit, with pink hair in braids that almost hit the floor, she stole her scenes, whether dancing, mean mugging or swinging a sword.
In the years since, Candy has released a couple of albums, collaborated with Charli XCX, toured with Lizzo, performed at fashion shows and much more. But the signature look from her early videos still looms large over her artistry.
In her lyrics, music and visual art, Candy has proudly pushed things further than her peers. Even the raunchiest bars from rap's leading female MCs can't stack up against her sex-and-drug-fueled fantasies, to say nothing of her stage show.
You had to be the most polarizing, visually stimulating, unique, weird, strange freak in the room, and that was what made you so special.
