Abubakar Nur Khalil, a Bitcoin Core contributor, appointed as ₿trust's Interim CEO to lead developer training and funding initiatives in Africa, Latin America, and India.

₿trust, funded by Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey, focuses on nurturing a network of Bitcoin developers, organizing events like the African Bitcoin Conference, and kickstarting BitDevs meetups in African cities.

Nur Khalil, also the founder of the organization originally named Qala, will retain his board seat during his one-year CEO term, with a focus on expanding developer programs and grants.

The ₿trust board members express confidence in Nur Khalil's leadership, citing his expertise as a developer, experience in the African Bitcoin ecosystem, and commitment to open-source development.
