Richard Sandoval's New Mag Mile Restaurant Dives Into Peru's Nikkei Cuisine
Briefly

Casa Chi, a new cocktail lounge from Richard Sandoval Hospitality, brings Japanese-Peruvian fusion flavors known as Nikkei to InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile, accompanied by an array of mezcal, tequila, sake, and Japanese beers.
"People might walk out of here smelling like smoke," says Sandoval, highlighting the smoky nature of mezcal used in drinks like a coconut-fat washed mezcal gibson, aiming to provide a unique dining experience with bold flavors.
Inspired by a trip to Peru with his children, Sandoval created Casa Chi as a space for guests to explore innovative flavors through dishes like ceviche and tiradito, along with a selection of meats and seafood cooked tableside.
