
"A 40-year-old man was fatally wounded, and another man was left in critical condition in a shooting Tuesday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said. Around 10:15 a.m., the victims were inside a vehicle in the 200 block of North Kedzie Avenue when another vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire in their direction, police said."
"The victims traveled North until their vehicle crashed in the 300 block of North Kedzie, police said. A 40-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds throughout the body was pronounced dead at the scene. A 28-year-old also suffered wounds throughout the body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. A third passenger in the vehicle, 56, was not wounded but he was taken to the same hospital for observation due to the crash."
At about 10:15 a.m. in East Garfield Park on the West Side, occupants of a vehicle in the 200 block of North Kedzie Avenue were fired upon by occupants of another vehicle. The targeted vehicle traveled north and crashed in the 300 block of North Kedzie. A 40-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 28-year-old man also suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. A 56-year-old passenger was uninjured but taken to the hospital for observation because of the crash. No arrests have been made and detectives are investigating.
