Making Room for Trans and Nonbinary Chicagoans
Briefly

[Bars] just assume that trans people will settle for gay and lesbian spaces. LGBTQ communities are diverse places, and the safety and inclusion of gender-nonconforming people isn't a given in every queer bar or club. So I thought, 'wouldn't it be cool if we really dedicate and open up our spaces to being there for the trans community?'
The idea found an eager booster in Schor, initially opening Dorothy as a queer-friendly cocktail den, later introducing Enby Night specifically for transgender and nonbinary individuals. Events include makers market, clothing swap, and a 'trans-curiosity' night for exploring new identities.
