I don't take offense easily or often, but I found the Feb. 23 letter "Taking on the mantle" to be remarkably disrespectful to former president and lifelong crusader for humanity Jimmy Carter.Implying that Carter's "work here is done," since the letter's author considers Joe Biden the worst president in history, surpassing Carter, is trite and demeaning.
