"Government" and "ineptitude" are two words forever joined at the hip.The latest example is a doozy.Following the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S., Congress enacted the Real ID Act, a sensible measure aimed at safeguarding air travel.The law requires travelers 18 and older to show a Real ID-compliant driver's license or identification card - or another Transportation Security Administration-approved ID like a passport or a global entry card - before boarding a domestic flight.
