A rare Frank Lloyd Wright home left abandoned and in ruins has landed on a list of 'endangered' architectural treasures
Briefly

The J.J. Walser Jr. House, a Prairie-style masterpiece by Frank Lloyd Wright, faces potential collapse due to years of neglect. Located in Chicago's Austin neighborhood, it is one of only five surviving Wright designs of this style in the city. Preservation Chicago has highlighted it on their endangered list, citing water damage and vandalism as primary concerns. Originally built in 1903, the house was maintained until the passing of its last owners, and now requires extensive renovations to save it from further deterioration.
"The vacancy of the building, along with the visual inspection of the building's interior and noting both the water damage and vandalism, lead us to make this a priority and emergency advocacy effort."
"Every part of this house needs attention," The Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy added on its website, asking for someone to swoop in, shore it up and bring it back to life.
