We are not collectibles or robots, we are humans - Bright
Briefly

Chelsea captain Millie Bright expressed her disappointment over receiving insults from a fan after a match, where the fan had previously asked for photos and autographs. Bright highlighted the difference between fan expectations and the realities of player experiences, reminding supporters that athletes are human beings deserving of respect. This incident occurred following Chelsea's victory over Aston Villa, during a successful season where they lead the Women's Super League. Bright urged fans to be mindful of their comments, acknowledging the effort players put into engaging with supporters.
Now everyone can have their opinion, what was said I don't actually care about, but it was more the fact this came after they'd ask for photos and signatures.
Please may I remind you that as players we are not collectibles, we are not robots, we are humans the same as you.
After every game we as players make a choice to give you our time, support and generosity to do photos, signatures, have conversation, because we care and respect you travelling to support us.
So this experience was hugely disappointing, especially from a fan sat in the Chelsea section.
