Eddie Howe was not contacted by the FA regarding the England manager position, despite being one of only three English managers in the Premier League.
Howe expressed his focus on Newcastle, stating, 'It's about Newcastle and trying to win games… at no stage have I allowed myself to drop my levels.'
He preferred an English coach for the England job but praised Thomas Tuchel, saying, 'What a brilliant guy. What a great person. What a great coach.'
Howe acknowledged learning from Tuchel's management style, wishing him well, and said, 'I think he's a great appointment and I hope he leads England to many trophies.'
