England manager Thomas Tuchel and Scotland's Steve Clarke were both critical after a lengthy, star-studded World Cup draw ceremony in Washington D.C. on Friday. The biggest World Cup draw ever staged turned into a two-and-a-half-hour spectacle, featuring performances from Robbie Williams, a FIFA Peace Prize presentation to U.S. President Donald Trump, and ball-drawing duties handled by sporting greats including Tom Brady and Shaquille O'Neal.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson has received huge praise from England manager Thomas Tuchel as his fine form this season continues. The talented 23-year-old is really making a name for himself in the Premier League, and has fully deserves his recent involvement with the England national team as well. It could be that Anderson will now be a key player for the Three Lions at next summer's World Cup, while he might also earn himself a big move soon.

Given Tuchel's pedigree and recent managerial track record, it's not surprising that his name has surfaced in rumours linking him to the Old Trafford hot seat. The German manager guided Chelsea to Champions League triumph in 2021 in which his team beat Manchester City in the final. With United publicly underperforming and under pressure, many saw Tuchel as a viable option to bring order and experience to a club longing for consistency.

We did very, very well. We had an excellent first half, we were 3-0 up very quickly but could have been four or five up at half-time. Then we couldn't score the fourth one or the fifth one. The stadium was silent. Silent. We never got any energy back from the fans and I think the players delivered a lot to get more from the fans. So, it was difficult to keep everything going in the second half, but we did excellent, we deserved to win. Next step in the right direction.
