Tesla Superchargers Are Getting Longer Cables
Briefly

Tesla is ramping up the installation of its V4 Supercharger stalls which have longer cables, accommodating non-Tesla EVs with diverse charging port locations. This adaptation aims to resolve parking issues caused by the original design, which exclusively catered to Tesla models. As the EV market evolves and the number of non-Tesla vehicles using the Supercharger network increases, Tesla recognizes the need to provide better accessibility and user experience for all EV owners.
The charging network algorithm now updates availability status every 15 seconds, enhancing real-time information for users. Additionally, Tesla is moving away from "overpromising" the number of open stalls, adjusting its display based on real-time user data. This shift not only improves the reliability of information shown to users but also adds to the effectiveness of the charging process for both Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles on the network.
