Ford has begun shipping a new Ford-branded Fast Charging Adapter, enabling access to 17,800 Tesla Supercharger locations for its EV customers in the U.S. and Canada.
The push for more timely adapter distribution is part of Ford's initiative to improve customer satisfaction while ensuring Ford EV owners can effectively utilize Tesla's charging infrastructure.
Despite the rollout of these new adapters, Ford clarifies that they are not a fix for the previously reported potential charging speed issues related to another model's adapters. They are distinct from those issues.
This strategic move follows Ford's earlier access to Tesla's Supercharger Network, which was expanded from an original 12,000 locations to 17,800, showcasing Ford's commitment to electric vehicle infrastructure.
