A 19-year-old man from Essex died on Monday night after crashing his car into a tree on the side of Route 202 in Pelham.
The driver, a 19-year-old from Essex, had crashed into a tree, and his vehicle had caught fire, local police said.
The responders worked to extinguish the fire and used the jaws of life to free the driver from the vehicle.
Police requested a medical helicopter. The 19-year-old was then pronounced dead at a nearby medical facility.
