Durham police initiated a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle, which fled, crashed into another car, resulting in serious injuries to two teenagers.
Following the crash, police discovered two firearms and prohibited magazines in the vehicle, leading to numerous charges against the five youths.
The Special Investigations Unit is investigating due to the serious injuries sustained by two youths, one of whom has since been released from the hospital.
A 16-year-old driver of the fleeing vehicle fled on foot after a crash but was later apprehended with minor injuries.
