A 24-year-old woman died after leaping from a car and subsequently being hit by multiple vehicles on Interstate 580 in Livermore. The driver did not help her.
The driver of the Audi did not report the incident until he reached Tracy, approximately 20 miles away, raising suspicions about his actions.
Witnesses reported that the woman rolled onto the interstate after jumping from the passenger side of the vehicle. Several cars subsequently ran her over.
The California Highway Patrol labeled the incident suspicious and urged anyone with information to come forward, as an investigation into the hit-and-run continues.
