Jeanett Moskito, a self-styled recruiter, has been exposed for abusing her position by illegally charging fees to foreign workers seeking employment in Canada, often taking advantage of their trust.
Despite presenting herself as a benevolent figure helping newcomers, Moskito has been caught 35 times by the Ontario Ministry of Labour for taking illegal payments in exchange for job placements.
Her actions have led to substantial financial penalties, including approximately $200,000 in illegal payments she was ordered to repay, highlighting systemic issues in the recruitment industry.
Moskito’s operations have prompted warnings from Philippine consulates, as they caution citizens against engaging with her, underscoring the vulnerability of immigrants in the employment landscape.
