Wildfire risks in Northern California rise as winds sweep region. How long will that last?
Briefly

Research at UC Davis indicates that as wildfire activity has grown, the state's pristine bodies of water, like Lake Tahoe, have suffered due to smoke. This was evident following a large fire in the South Lake Tahoe area in 2007.
National Weather Service issued a fire weather watch for much of Sacramento Valley and Sierra Nevada foothills due to dry, hot, and windy conditions. Fires can start easily and spread rapidly, especially in certain regions.
