The person who was hit died at the scene; the involved driver stopped and spoke to investigators, police said."

On Sunday evening, a man walking near South Bascom Avenue and Borello Drive in West San Jose was killed by a hit-and-run driver; and police have not announced any arrests or suspect information in that instance. The Sunday and Tuesday collisions marked the city's first two roadway deaths of the year."
