
"The incident happened around 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 2 in the 400 block of Minnesota Avenue, near Willow Street, San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih said in a news release Tuesday. Officers arrived at the scene to find evidence of a shooting but no victims, Shih said. While investigating the incident, officers located a pair of victims a man and a woman and their car, which was riddled with bullet holes, Shih said."
"On Oct. 8, while officers were attempting to serve the warrants, Alvarez barricaded himself inside a home near the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Willow Street, Shih said. Officers used a chemical agent to get Alvarez to surrender, Shih said, adding that a search of the residence turned up a loaded privately made firearm, ammunition, a 3D printer and drugs."
At about 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 2, a shooting occurred in the 400 block of Minnesota Avenue near Willow Street in San Jose. Detectives identified Michael Alvarez, 38, as the suspect and obtained arrest and search warrants. On Oct. 8 Alvarez barricaded himself inside a nearby home; officers used a chemical agent to force surrender and found a loaded privately made firearm, ammunition, a 3D printer and drugs. Alvarez was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and related firearm and drug charges and is being held without bail at the Main Jail in San Jose.
