"The incident happened around 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 2 in the 400 block of Minnesota Avenue, near Willow Street, San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih said in a news release Tuesday. Officers arrived at the scene to find evidence of a shooting but no victims, Shih said. While investigating the incident, officers located a pair of victims a man and a woman and their car, which was riddled with bullet holes, Shih said."
"On Oct. 8, while officers were attempting to serve the warrants, Alvarez barricaded himself inside a home near the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Willow Street, Shih said. Officers used a chemical agent to get Alvarez to surrender, Shih said, adding that a search of the residence turned up a loaded privately made firearm, ammunition, a 3D printer and drugs."

Detectives identified Michael Alvarez, 38, as the suspect and obtained arrest and search warrants. On Oct. 8 Alvarez barricaded himself inside a nearby home; officers used a chemical agent to force surrender and found a loaded privately made firearm, ammunition, a 3D printer and drugs. Alvarez was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and related firearm and drug charges and is being held without bail at the Main Jail in San Jose.
