Project 'Ghostbusters': Facebook secretly spied on Snapchat data, docs allege
Briefly

Facebook spied on some Snapchat users' traffic data from 2016 through 2019 using a tool installed on their phones.
The company's software let it see user behavior and data from the Snapchat app that would otherwise be encrypted for Facebook's use.
The spyware project was code-named 'Ghostbusters' in a seeming reference to Snapchat's white-ghost logo.
Given how quickly they're growing, it seems important to figure out a new way to get reliable analytics about them.
