Hideaki Nishino will take over as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) starting April 1, 2025, following an evolution aimed at maximizing synergies within the company. This change aligns with a strategy initiated in May 2024, where Nishino was previously appointed CEO of the Platform Business Group. Hermen Hulst continues his role as CEO of the Studio Business Group under Nishino, indicating a focus on a unified direction for SIE's operations in the gaming sector.
"This appointment reflects our strategic goal of enhancing synergies across Sony Interactive Entertainment, particularly between our platform and studio divisions," said Nishino.
"By combining our efforts under Nishino’s leadership, we aim to create a more cohesive approach to our gaming ecosystem," stated a Sony representative.
