Walt Disney plans to abandon its use of Slack as a collaboration tool following a massive data leak exceeding one terabyte, leading to security concerns.
CFO Hugh Johnston indicated that most Disney businesses would cease using Slack later this year, with many teams already migrating to alternative collaboration solutions.
The hacking group NullBulge leaked vast amounts of Disney data, including sensitive project details and over 44 million messages from company Slack channels.
Disney is actively investigating the unauthorized release of data from its communication systems, attributed to security vulnerabilities exploited by the hacking group.
