"Job postings for recruiters are up in some industries, which tends to signal an increase in broader hiring about three months later," stated Lisa Simon, chief economist at Revelio Labs.
"It could well be that this is real," said Simon, referring to the recent surge in demand for recruiters as an indicator of a possible economic lift.
Sean Barry, VP of talent acquisition at Allstate, mentioned, "I personally think the entire market is going to experience increased hiring, with Allstate planning to hire 15,000 to 16,000 in 2025 compared to 14,000 this year."
Labor market experts note that while layoffs are low, many workers feel stuck in their roles, particularly in the tech industry.
