Starting Wednesday, more than 350,000 healthcare workers are getting raises, thanks to a state law that aims to combat workforce shortages and improve patient care.
The law addresses the need for better wages in healthcare, particularly for workers who are often women of color, living in poverty.
Bianca Frogner stated that the new wage law gives healthcare a better chance to compete for workers against other industries that are raising wages.
In L.A. County alone, 27 school districts are seeking $15 billion in bonds to repair and renovate aging campuses, highlighting the urgent need for infrastructure investment.
