According to the High Pay Centre, median pay for FTSE 100 chief executives is 4.22m, which is 113 times the median full-time worker's pay of 37,430.
Paul Nowak, from the Trades Union Congress, argued that despite workers facing a cost of living crisis, executives are 'taking more than their fair share'.
This year, bosses will reach their workers' annual pay in just 29 hours, slightly quicker than last year, accelerating the noted pay disparity.
The stark pay disparity comes as companies justify generous executive pay as necessary to attract top talent, raising questions about equity and corporate governance.
