Australia's economy posts worst performance since 1992, excluding pandemic

Australia's economy has posted its worst performance in over 30 years, with GDP expanding by merely 0.2 percent in the April-June period and 1 percent over the last year.

Amid record levels of immigration, GDP fell 1.5 percent year-on-year on a per capita basis, marking the sixth consecutive quarterly decline as the economy struggles post-pandemic.
