A woman died Thursday following a rock climbing accident at Lover's Leap, a popular climbing destination near Lake Tahoe. The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office confirmed to the outlet that a 30-year-old woman fell while climbing with her partner at Lover's Leap and later died.
Lover's Leap is a nearly 600-foot-high granite rock formation in El Dorado National Forest. Its four main walls are known for challenging climbing routes that tend to draw crowds during weekends and throughout the summer.
