The eastern section of the southern Brooklyn waterfront is set for restoration, covering the Shore Parkway Promenade from the Verrazzano Bridge to Ceasar's Bay. Funded by over $8 million secured by Council Member Justin Brannan, the project aims to revitalize pedestrian and bike paths while restoring the deteriorating seawall. Brannan highlights the importance of public and green spaces in community health, calling this development a significant win for residents. The initiative is part of broader efforts to improve waterfront access in Brooklyn, ensuring continuity from Bay Ridge to Coney Island Boardwalk.

The overhaul will address longstanding structural, aesthetic and safety issues along the waterfront, which has fallen victim to sporadic maintenance over the years.
