"Support is growing for Letitia James, as there are concerns that a special election could create further turmoil in the city's political landscape," said Jay Jacobs.
"I don't know if we would want to revisit that [Andrew Cuomo]," Jacobs explained, highlighting the lack of enthusiasm for a potential Cuomo run.
Letitia James stated, "I don't believe in speculation. Right now, I'm focused on the office of the attorney general," while considering a future bid.
Insiders believe that Letitia James would be a stronger candidate in a special election compared to Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, who is seen as a placeholder.
