Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights is under consideration for the Open Streets initiative by Bridge Street Development Corporation. The plan proposes closing the avenue to traffic on weekends to foster business growth and community events from June to October. Tiara Robertson emphasized the collaborative effort between Bridge Street and local merchants, highlighting interactive and family-friendly activities. While the program is popular, it faces some controversy, especially regarding accessibility concerns raised by residents, which the organization aims to address through ongoing outreach.

This is not a new relationship we've had with Franklin - now we're just trying to take it to the next level.
