NYPD has identified 21-year-old Jakhi Lodgson-McCray as the suspect behind the arson of 11 NYPD vehicles in Brooklyn. Chief Joseph Kenny stated that Lodgson-McCray, known for his involvement in pro-Palestine protests, previously caused damage at Columbia University. He managed to incur over half a million dollars in damages, with $800,000 needed to replace the vehicles. Lodgson-McCray allegedly set the vehicles ablaze early on June 12, damaging not only police property but also impacting local residences, indicating a broad concern for community safety.
Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny reported that Jakhi Lodgson-McCray, a pro-Palestine protester, has been identified as the arson suspect responsible for burning 11 NYPD vehicles.
