According to the NYPD, 32-year-old Tyree Epps was driving a black Mercedes when he collided with a school bus at Blake Avenue and Van Sinderen Avenue around 1:17 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses reported seeing Epps run from the crash. Police took him into custody Friday and charged him with manslaughter in the second degree, criminally negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
