The new art exhibition, "I GOT A STORY TO TELL," showcases the works of four Black female artists at Industry City, running from Feb. 1 to March 8. Curated by Tatianna Mack, the exhibit draws inspiration from her family's history and emphasizes themes of love, pride, and identity during Black History Month. The installation by Blu Murphy invites interactive engagement, connecting the Civil Rights Movement to modern storytelling. This exhibition reflects the emotional connection Mack has with her heritage, showcasing art as a medium for preserving the voices of Black women.
"It's been a long time coming, but to see my vision come to life has been very surreal for me," she said. "I'm super excited about how everything turned out."
Each piece is "a testament to the power of art as a vessel for preserving and amplifying the voices of Black women across generations."
